Dear Colleagues –
In anticipation of legislative appropriation, DCF has drafted a proposal for the administration of Rapid Resolution funds. Rapid Resolution is an important strategy in the AHS COVID-19 Housing Recovery plan. Rapid Resolution focuses on reducing trauma, creating new pathways to housing and empowering households to partner in their own housing plan. One-time, short-term flexible funds can help households overcome financial barriers to achieving their housing goals. Rapid Resolution can help individuals and families to exit from motels to safe housing options quickly, even as they continue to work on long term housing goals. While this strategy will not work for every household, it is an important tool for local Homeless Continua of Care at this time.
Due to emergent needs, DCF will move to implement this proposal quickly. We ask local Homeless Continua of Care to discuss and provide feedback as soon as possible.
