Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness (VCEH) held a training to discuss the HUD Continuum of Care (CoC) Competition Grant Application (AKA the NOFO) Annual New Project Process. The training provided an overview of the HUD CoC Competition, the structure of the CoC in Vermont, and what’s required of recipients.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has not yet released the 2023 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), but we know it’s coming soon! This training provided an overview of the Continuum of Care Competition and the project application process.
Voting Rights for People Experiencing Homelessness Training

Disability Rights Vermont and Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness on June 15th a 10 AM held a training on voting rights for people experiencing homelessness.

How can someone without a permanent address register to vote? How does someone who is unsheltered obtain an absentee ballot? What barriers are there to voting and what is our collective response? These and other topics were addressed during the training.

Healthcare for people experiencing homelessness: Patient and provider experiences using telehealth

Join the Upper Valley Haven and research partners Anne Sosin & Benjamin Aronson for a presentation about the use of telehealth for patients experiencing homelessness, as well as preliminary data from research on housing and health equity.
This project is part of a Vermont Department of Health homeless health equity capacity building grant coordinated through the Upper Valley Haven. Your participation is requested to build a network of organizations dedicated to improving healthcare and behavioral health outcomes for people experiencing houselessness in our region. Please email Cherry Sullivan at the Upper Valley Haven with the contact information for those in your agency who can serve as the point person for these efforts. A regular meeting time will be determined soon.
Outreach and Housing Support for Individuals with Psychotic Disorders
Tuesday, June 27th at 2 PM
This panel examines outreach and housing support strategies for individuals with psychotic disorders. Practitioners will each share best practices aimed at improving accessibility, stability, and community integration for this population. They will also discuss collaborative efforts among mental health, housing, and community-based professionals.
Attendees are encouraged to view the HHRC Introduction to Psychotic Disorders webinar prior to this session if they are new to serving individuals experiencing psychosis.
ASL Interpretation and live captioning will be provided. Certificates of participation will be provided to those who complete a post-event evaluation. No CEUs are provided.
