Registration is now open for the 2014 National Health Care for the Homeless Conference & Policy Symposium, which will take place from May 28-30 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The gathering is for everyone interested in or currently working to improve the lives of people experiencing homelessness and will feature more than 80 workshops and 150 presenters.
Over the course of three days, participants will be able to access dozens of accredited workshops, professional networking opportunities, engaging presentations, rejuvenating social encounters, and inspiring plenary sessions with federal officials and leaders in the HCH field.
A full day of intensive pre-conference activities is also planned for May 27 which will offer in-depth examinations of transgender health, engaging homeless youth, social determinants of health, and medical respite care.
The annual National Health Care for the Homeless Conference is organized by HCH professionals for HCH professionals, including clinicians, support staff, administrators, board members, and consumers of HCH services. It is also of value to others who provide health care and support services to homeless people as well as government officials and advocates.
A limited number of Consumer Conference Subsidies to support consumer participation are being offered (consumers must be members of HCH grantees’ Board of Directors, or members of Consumer Advisory Boards of HCH grantees, or employees of HCH grantees). Deadline to submit an application for a subsidy is February 28.
