The Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness seeks to ensure that people living in Vermont have a safe, stable, affordable home, and — if homelessness does occur — it is brief, rare, and non-recurring and those experiencing homelessness are treated with dignity and respect.

Point in Time Count Webinar

December 20, 2017 by Vermont Coalition To End Homelessness

Point in Time Count Webinar
Thursday, January 18, 10:00-11:30 AM

The VCEH Point in Time Count Committee will be holding a webinar to go over data collection and entry for the upcoming Point in Time (PIT) Count. The webinar will focus on filling out the PIT Count forms, which are filled out with each household who is homeless on the night of the Count. This year, there are important changes to the forms, including an electronic version of the form, which will increase data accuracy. The webinar will be recorded and posted on the VCEH website.

Who should attend?

  • Anyone going out to count people in unsheltered locations during the PIT Count
  • Staff who will submit PIT Count data from emergency shelters or transitional housing for the homeless that do not use HMIS, including but not limited to domestic violence shelters and the General Assistance Motel program
  • Local PIT Count Coordinators

Please note that staff at agencies that use HMIS do not need to view the webinar (unless that staff member will be counting in unsheltered locations), as their PIT Count data will be pulled from HMIS.
