Helping to house VT_Staging

The Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness seeks to ensure that people living in Vermont have a safe, stable, affordable home, and — if homelessness does occur — it is brief, rare, and non-recurring and those experiencing homelessness are treated with dignity and respect.

CE Overview

What is Coordinated Entry?

Paving the way for more efficient housing assistance, Coordinated Entry (CE)  is a process that ensures people experiencing a housing crisis have fair and equal access and are quickly identified, assessed for, referred and connected to housing assistance based on their strengths and needs. VCEH uses a Local Coordinated Entry Partnership model to help Vermonters experiencing or at risk of homelessness to get connected to the housing help they need as quickly as possible.

Planning & Evaluation

The VCEH has established a Coordinated Entry Committee to plan and evaluate implementation of a Coordinated Entry System for the Balance of State Continuum of Care. The Committee meets the 4th Tuesday of every month, 12:00 – 1:30pm virtually.  The Committee strives to use a planning and oversight process that is inclusive and open, including Lead Agency representatives from the Local Continua of Care.  Meetings are open and all are welcome to attend.
