Sponsored by OEO in partnership with the VT Association for Mental Health & Addiction Recovery – Making it Stick. November 12th, 2015 from 9:30am – 3:30pm at the Franklin Howe Conference Center in Rutland.
This relapse awareness training incorporates information on both addiction and mental health conditions. This training is designed to decrease the stigma of relapse through a reframing process combining education, practical skills, and techniques to assist individuals in interrupting the relapse cycle. Participants will acquire the knowledge and skills to recognize potential problems early on and practical skills to help individuals create a prevention plan.
In addition, this training will teach individuals how to apply the concepts of Making It Stick in a specific group format or in a one-on-one setting. Broken down section by section, participants will learn the tools, techniques, and facilitation skills required to run this specific group. If your organization serves vulnerable populations where individuals are struggling in more than one area and you need a specific support group that addresses co-occurring conditions, this format will work. Making It Stick can be adapted to specific groups.
Making It Stick Facilitators Guides will be available to all who complete this training.
No cost to participate. Morning coffee service provided. Lunch on your own. Registration Required – email lynnemunzberg@gmail.com or call Kristin Lyons at 802-769-6409.
