The Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness seeks to ensure that people living in Vermont have a safe, stable, affordable home, and — if homelessness does occur — it is brief, rare, and non-recurring and those experiencing homelessness are treated with dignity and respect.

Upper Valley Haven Employment Opportunities

The Upper Valley Haven, a member of the Vermont Balance of State Continuum of Care, has openings for the following positions:

Social Workers:

We are seeking qualified candidates to provide and coordinate outreach and support for individuals and families who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness. Candidates should be empathetic, creative problem-solvers who thrive in a dynamic work environment. These positions offer creative opportunities to work with local partners to aid community members in crisis. As a flexible and energetic member of the team, you will help families obtain and sustain permanent housing. Both full time positions and half time positions are available; some evening work may be required. MSW is preferred.

PER DIEM SHELTER STAFF:

Energetic individuals with flexibility, common sense, and good boundaries to support shelter guests in shared living environments and accomplishment of tasks to get back on their feet.  We are seeking per diem staff to fulfill all shifts in our 24/7 staffed facility. Must be able to work 3rd shift and weekends. Associate’s degree in psychology, human services, or related field and some experience with groups preferred; awareness of or experience with poverty is vital
