The Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness seeks to ensure that people living in Vermont have a safe, stable, affordable home, and — if homelessness does occur — it is brief, rare, and non-recurring and those experiencing homelessness are treated with dignity and respect.

Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP)

The Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) is an exciting new initiative designed to reduce the number of youth experiencing homelessness.

FY 2017 YHDP Funding Awards

On July 13, 2018, HUD announced $43 million in funding to 11 communities to ending youth homelessness. The communities that submitted applications took an important step in preventing and ending youth homelessness. HUD congratulates the 11 selected communities, commends all communities who applied, and is committed to supporting them, regardless of whether they were selected.

Vermont Youth Homeless Demonstration Program RFP

Applications are due to Andrea Hurley (andrea@vsha.org) by the end of business day May 13, 2019.

Your Application should include:

  1. VT YHDP Application
  2. VT YHDP Threshold
  3. Match Letter (Cash) OR Match Letter (in-kind)
    Those wishing to apply for more than one project type, must complete an application packet for each proposal.

Applicants are encouraged to review the FY17 YHDP NOFA (including Appendix A & B) as well as the FY17 CoC Program Competition NOFA   To be sure they are complying by all project and grant requirements.
