The Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness seeks to ensure that people living in Vermont have a safe, stable, affordable home, and — if homelessness does occur — it is brief, rare, and non-recurring and those experiencing homelessness are treated with dignity and respect.

Youth Homeless Demonstration Program Request for Proposals

Happy Monday Everyone!

In July 2018, the Vermont Balance of State Continuum of Care (BoS CoC), also known as the Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness (VCEH) was awarded a demonstration grant of $2,002,131 by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) known as the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP). The Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness joins 10 other communities as second round recipients.

We are happy to announce the next stage, and issue a Request for Proposals!!

Vermont Youth Homeless Demonstration Program RFP

Applications are due to Andrea Hurley (andrea@vsha.org) by the end of business day May 6, 2019.

Your Application should include:

  1. VT YHDP Application
  2. VT YHDP Threshold
  3. Match Letter (Cash) OR Match Letter (in-kind)
    Those wishing to apply for more than one project type, must complete an application packet for each proposal.

In the mean time here are some useful events happening to help you understand the program, answer any questions, and receive any technical assistance you may need.

  • Monday April 1, 2019: 9:00am-11:00am Recorded Webinar: Register HERE
  • April 10: 1:30pm-3:00pm In-Person Rutland Region Commerce, 50 Merchants Row, Rutland, VT 05701
  • April 11: 9:30am-11:00am Barre McFarland State Office Building, 5 Perry Street, Barre, VT 05641
  • April 11: 1:30pm-3:00pm White River Junction, VT Dept of Health in Hartford, 118 Prospect St #300, 3rd Floor, White River Junction, VT 05001
  • April 12: Any questions about the RFP? Written Questions are due by the end of business day to Andrea (andrea@vsha.org)
  • April 19: Written Questions due to Andrea (andrea@vsha.org)
  • April 26: Written Questions due to Andrea (andrea@vsha.org)
  • April 28: Written responses to questions provided (if not already responded)
